	About Us
	Sugar & Spice is an established family-run Company based in the popular seaside tourist town of Largs, Ayrshire with a reputation for having the largest selection of handmade chocolates and gift confectionery in the West Coast of Scotland. Mother and daughter (Caroline and Toni) have been trading now for seven years and are always sourcing new products and suppliers in order to provide their customers with 'something special.'   They import the finest hand made chocolates on a weekly basis from several Belgian chocolate houses along with classic favourites such as Parisian Creams from James at The Arran Chocolate Factory. Their gift confectionery selection includes Niederegger Marzipan made in Lubeck, Germany (one of the finest marzipans you'll ever taste) along with Italian Cuba Venchi chocolate cigars made with luxury gianduja chocolate and Piedmont Hazelnuts. There are many traditional favourites too such as Puff Candy, Lucky Tatties and Soor Plooms. They even have a selection of specialist whiskies, Scotish fruit wines and unusual liqueurs whilst their gift range includes boxed crystal gift sets from Gleneagles Crystal, Celtic jewellery and fine giftware from Royal Doulton.   In March last year (2007) the shop had a partial refit in order to accommodate further facilities for its ice cream production. Geraldo's luxury award-winning ice cream (named after Toni's late father) is now completely manufactured on site by Toni using fresh milk and cream supplied from the local dairy in Largs. There are 16 flavours to choose from at any one time from a selection of almost 100 with each one made using the finest of natural ingredients. Classic Vanilla will always be the number one favourite but it's followed closely by their signature flavour Gerry Berry made with Amarena Cherries and a touch of Kirsch. If you're ever in Largs you must visit and 'taste the difference'. There's no comparison between a supermarket product and a fresh, dairy, artisan ice cream.   There are many more products available from the shop that are not always shown online.  If you have a particular requirement please contact Sugar & Spice directly where a member of staff will be happy to deal with your enquiry.   The shop is open late 7 days a week throughout the year and the spacious layout allows wheelchair access. There is also ample car parking close by at the promenade car park or, if you're in a hurry, you can pull up right at the front of the shop and purchase your favourite ice cream straight from the window in a handy take home carton.
