History Geraldo’s ice cream is a delicious luxury ice cream home made within the premises of Sugar & Spice. The family have been in the ice cream business for over 40 years and the brand was named after Toni’s late father who died in June 2005. Sugar & Spice had a partial refit in March 2007 to extend the existing production facilities and the ice cream is now pasteurised and frozen into small batches by daughter Toni who keeps their recipe a closely guarded secret. Flavours Every batch of ice cream is made using the best natural ingredients available including whole milk and double cream from the local dairy and fresh fruit where possible to produce a smooth, creamy ice cream. There are a wide range of flavours available with many new recipes being tried and tested throughout the year but Classic Vanilla will always be the most popular followed closely by Mint Choc Chip, Strawberries & Cream, Puff Candy and Toffee Ripple. The Bean & Leaf Coffee Shop & Restaurant - Promenade, Largs, where you can try the ice cream in the form of a Knickerbocker Glory or choose from a selection of ice cream sundaes.
Barrfields Putting Green - Vikingar Visitor Centre, Largs, where you can play a round of putting or watch others whilst you enjoy your favourite flavours and;
Kelburn Country Centre - Kelburn Estate, Largs, where children can explore the Enchanted Forest and all the delights this fantastic country centre has to offer the whole family.
Sugar & Spice is open late, 7 days, all year round and Geraldo’s ice cream is available in handy 1 litre tubs to take home and enjoy or you can drive right up to the front of the shop and purchase your favourite flavour on the cone of your choice straight from the window and enjoy! |
